I'm currently submitting a diverse children's books to publishers. It's a genuine and heartwarming story that needs to be told. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping an editor will bite. I know nowadays when you are dealing with race it can be a tough subject but I feel the publishing world has come a long way. And I'm truly thankful for that..... BUT THERE IS STILL A LONG WAY TO GO. I want to be an advocate for change. So regardless of whether my book becomes publish or not I will continue to press for more diversity in children's book. I think we all complain about the things that needs to change in life but no one want to do what it takes to change it. And in order to change anything we must first be proactive. So today I'm taking the stand for children of all races. I love all children and I'm pushing for more equality in the future market of children's books. This change won't happen over night in fact this process will take patient, loyalty and devotion. Every child deserves to see themselves on the cover of a book regardless of race. As with any great cause more soldiers are needed.
